Quality of Life & Livability Satisfaction Indicators

Objective

D.3.2: Identify unmet needs of daily living within the city and develop strategies to address those needs

Why Is This Important?

These indicators provide direction for elected officials and city staff when considering how to allocate resources to achieve the objectives identified in the City's Strategic Plan.  Ideally, a more in-depth, scientifically drawn survey can be performed at regular intervals in the future to gauge progress and perceptions of the Tarpon Springs Community.

Definition

In 2021 the City of Tarpon Springs conducted a Community Feedback Survey during development of the City's Strategic Plan.  The survey was performed by University of South Florida, Institute of Government.  The survey was administered in a web‐based format. Efforts were made to widely distribute the survey and make it accessible to all members of the community.  The survey does not reflect a scientifically drawn sample of the community, however the results of the survey are a valuable indicator of how residents view "quality of life" in the City of Tarpon Springs.
