Annual Employee Attrition/Turnover Rate

Objective

F.1.1:   Determine best methodology to measure employee satisfaction and improve employee engagement & relations

Why Is This Important?

The City of Tarpon Springs most valuable asset is its workforce.  Recruiting and maintaining employees is essential to the operations of the City.

Definition

Employee Attrition/Turnover is calculated as Number of Separations divided by the Average number of Employees over a specific time period x 100.  The City has not yet established a maximum target attrition rate.

How Are We Doing?

During the peak of the pandemic, the City's attrition rate fell to xx% and is now increasing again.  The pandemic and economy is re-shaping the expectations of employees making it ever more important to find creative ways to attract and retain top talent, develop the next generation of leaders, and maintain an engaged workforce.
